Wellsboro Boys, Montoursville, Play To 2-2 Draw

The Wellsboro Boys Soccer team tied Montoursville 2-2 Saturday afternoon in non-league action.

Montoursville took the lead with just over 26 minutes remaining in the first half, but junior Gabe Cuneo quickly tied the game up at 1-all roughly four minutes later on a penalty kick.

The Warriors later struck with 25:22 left to play in the game off a direct kick to retake the lead, but again the Hornets bounced back. With just over 22 minutes left to go, senior Dylan Tomlinson converted a pass from senior Mason Brill to knot the game back up at 2-2.

Wellsboro out shot Montourville 10-6 and had an 8-3 corner kick advantage.

Junior Camden Bryant made 4 saves in goal.

Wellsboro now sits at 3-1-1 (3-1 NTL) on the season. The team is back in action at home on Tuesday against Galeton.
