The Wellsboro Junior High Soccer team shut out Northeast Bradford 4-0 to improve to 12-1 and run their win streak to 8 games on Friday, October 11.

"With how many injured or sick players we have, it is truly impressive how we played tonight," head coach Derek Stevens said. "We controlled the field and got a ton of shots on goal, credit to their goalie for a great game."

The young Hornets took the lead with six minutes remaining in the opening half on a Liam Stevens goal, assisted by Callen Novak. Wellsboro held that lead through the rest of the half, then quickly extended it as Stevens stole the second half kickoff and scored 35 seconds in, making it 2-0. Stevens later completed his hat trick with 19:41 left, pushing the lead to 3-0.

Novak capped the scoring with 35 seconds remaining.

Wellsboro took 35 shots on goal and held NEB without a shot attempt.

The Hornets are at Galeton for an afternoon game.
