Wellsboro and Williamson played to a scoreless double overtime draw in a rematch of their season openers on Monday, October 2.

Williamson defeated the Hornets 2-1 earlier this year.

"The boys battled for 100 minutes and Mitchell commanded his box and made a few outstanding saves," head coach Todd Fitch said. "It wasn't the result we played for, but our stats sheet looks better in this match compared to the first time we played them and this is our 4th consecutive match where we kept our opponent from scoring."

Wellsboro out shot Williamson 9-5 and had a slight 6-5 advantage in corner kicks. Senior Mitchell Butler made 6 saves.

In the JV game Wellsboro shut out the Warriors 2-0 in a 20-minute condensed game due to loss of daylight. Sophomores Jacoby Strang and Mason Nowak scored the goals.

Wellsboro (9-2-1, 8-1-1 NTL) hosts North Penn-Liberty on Wednesday.
