Middle School soccer shuts out Northern Potter

The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer program picked up their first win of the season with an 8-0 shutout of Northern Potter on Wednesday, September 6.

Lilly Abadi had one shot on goal, Dylan Abernathy had two shots on goal and two goals, Ethan Barlett had two shots on goal and one assist, Rylie Boyce had two shots on goal, Ayden Magli had had two shots on goal, and Peyton McClure had three shots on goal and one goal.

Brody Morral had three shots on goal and one goal, Jack Poirier had seven shots on goal and two goals, Matt Richards had one shot on goal and one assist, Owen Richardson had seven shots on goal, one goal, and one assist, and Sam Rudy had two shots on goal and one assist.

The Hornets recorded 35 shots on goal, 8 goals, 4 assists, and 8 corner kicks. Northern Potter had a rough night with 0 shots on goal recorded, 0 corner kicks, and one direct kick.

The Hornets start out the season at 1-0 and are back in action on Wednesday, September 13 at Williamson.
