Middle School Hornets best Galeton, 7-2

The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer team scored 4 first half goals en route to a 7-2 win over Galeton on Thursday, October 12.

The first goal was scored by Jack Poirier after a through ball from Brody Morral. The next was scored by Dylan Abernathy after Brody Morral yet again split the defense with a through ball. After that, Poirier dribbled past two defenders to beat the keeper for his second goal.

Peyton McClure made it 4-0 as he played a flighted ball over the defense to Tyler Fletcher who shot past the keeper for a score.

Poirier scored the next two goals dribbling past the defense bring his total to four goals for the game. Jordyn Abernathy scored the final goal of the game after Jacob Neal played a through ball past two defenders.

Lilly Abadi recorded three saves and Molly Ingerick recorded two saves.

The win improves the young Hornets' record to 8-0-2. The team will be back in action on Tuesday, October 17 at North Penn-Liberty.
