Hornets shut out Wiliamson

The Hornets boys soccer team shut out Williamson 6-0 Thursday night in Wellsboro. Zach Pearson got the scoring started for the Hornets at the 10:10 mark of the first half off an assist from Darby Alafoginis. Alafoginis then scored again at 22:06 and again at 69:21 to notch his 47th career varsity goal. Caleb Weiss, Cody DeHaas, and Max Black also scored goals for Wellsboro. With the win, the Hornets improved their 2011 season record to 4-2-1 overall.

In JV action, Wellsboro defeated Williamson 2-1 on two goals from Luke Rudy. The JV Hornets are now 2-3-2. The Hornets will travel to Towanda to take on the Black Knights this Saturday, October 1. Game time is set for 10:00 a.m.
