The Mansfield girls soccer team came into Wellsboro and defeated the Hornets, 4-2. Wellsboro came out a little too confident expecting a win without a fight. Mansfield was up for the challenge and put a quick goal into Wellsboro's net. Jenny Loher sent a corner kick directly into the net that knocked the wind out of the Wellsboro team at 16:32 in the first half. Mansfield would add two more goals by Kelsey Harer and Jackie Hillson to take a 3-1 lead over Wellsboro. Victoria Pearson scored Wellsboro's first half goal at the 34:13 mark.

Wellsboro managed to start getting some shots off and managed to put 2 goals in, but it was too little too late. Mansfield would add one more goal in the second half as would Wellsboro. Sarah Kramer scored Wellsboro's second half goal on an assist from Emilie Kramer. With the loss, Wellsboro falls to 3-4 on the year.

In JV action, Mansfield shut ot Wellsboro, 2-0. Wellsboro returns to action this Friday as they host Northeast Bradford. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
